    Vistafy 2.1.0

    Updated Vistafy to 2.1.0

It adds a custom font, one of the first released skins to do this.
and fixes some bugs from previous build. Translations may not be any good (Basically the Vistafy Theming option is the only one I'm worried about translating) as were done with my brain + google translator.

Hope you like the new additions.

No more bushy beard and a facebook

Wednesday Night, I cut off 80% of my beard just leaving a little patch on the bottom of my chin, looks better I think :)

I've decided to also succumb to a facebook account probably use it mainly for photos and peoples birthdays. I'm not one to bother with it much. So far with registration impressions etc are it's damn slow.

Damn I fancy listening to some old GG Allin So yeah bite it you scum!

    BBQ parties pwn!

Today I went in search of a BBQ, originally just a portable disposable tray one (you know the type), with my friend kain. Well afer failing in local shops we headed into Stoke, sun was shining a gentle breeze blowing, yup pretty damn awesome weather for a BBQ. Went into shops in Stoke, still no BBQ's finally we went into Sainsburys, 'Surely they will have one!' we thought.

After walking the aisles finding firelighter blocks and bin bags, hope seemed pretty low, till we walked into the very last aisle (home stuff and magazines) and half the row was dedicated to BBQ stuff Open-mouthed

They had a half barrel style BBQ on display for ~£40 disposables were ~£4 and £6 respectively, and I thought no contest really I'll have more than one BBQ might as well get a real one and just get more coal each time Wink forward thinking!

So we carried this heavy load back between us to my house up and over the hills and busy rush hour roads, stopping at every other bin and phone connections box to break. re-grip the box or pull my jeans up eventually we got the thing back, listened to the 2 free cd's that were part of the latest Metal Hammer magazine and assembled the BBQ without issue, apart from our own knacked arms shaking a bit from the muscle strain when tightening screws. With BBQ assembled, it was time to call some people around for food booze and good times. People agreed to come but didn't know at what times they'd be able to so a staggered arrival seemed on the cards.

7.30 1st guest Toby, then Matt, then Kain returned we get the BBQ re lighted and going properly by 8 and have cooked all the birdseye burgers by 8.20 munching commence! next to arrive would be cool-green Jasmine a.k.a Jasmoo just as burgers round 2 have finished cooking now with added onions! Onto hotdogs with some beef and chili sausages going on the flames then a horde of guests all at once! so onto the prawns and pork and apple sausages. I mixed together some thai sweet chilli sauce and dark rum into a foil bowl, added in the prawns and put that on the barbi tasted great! shortly after people stopped eating and we then watched some shite on youtube and then Diary of The dead whilst I installed adobe products onto jasmoos laptop

Absolutely brilliant night hopefully one of many, a great way to celebrate end of uni year!
cheers and thanks to everyone who came see you guys soon :) hugs all round, kisses where necessary.

    Animating went well today

Well after initial delays our group finally started to animate today, we worked well and got 1/2 of the woodland scenes filmed today. Compared to the other team currently animating our work is much much smoother and way more frames (I feel sorry for the girls though, I just don't think they realise what they should be doing) I think the girls have a REALLY good set though, very bright and colourful and looks great without much attention being paid to lighting.

Primarily I was animating today, animating with Dan's character we nickname 'Red' or 'Peter' completely depending on how stressed out or confused we are :P as I said earlier it was the woodland scenes, tomorrow (Tuesday 8th April 2008) we aim to complete the woodland scenes and make a good start on the Town scenes. Ant has been really good providing pieces for pretty much all of our sets, and loading his bag and carrying rubbish sacks full of dirt, tree cuttings, foam and moss. Unfortunately our set, lights, table and camera aren't exactly stable so there were a few camera jogs and errors earlier, which may not get rectified due to time restraints.

    To Do Woodland:

    • Close-up shots of Red deciding which route to take through the forest
    • Wolf Spying on Red from distance
    • Wolf Shadow Puppet for running
    • Side on wood walk
    • Discovering grandma's

    To Do Streets:

    • Red Leaving house
    • Red Lost with Map
    • Wolf in Alley
    • Red and Wolf discussion
    • Wolf Smirking

    To Do Grandma's:

    • Granny resting/waiting for Red
    • Wolf attack
    • Blood Splatter
    • Wolf disguise
    • Red visits
    • Red discoverers granny is not who she seems
    • Wolf smirk
    • Wolf Shadow attack
    • Blood to black

    While I'm on a rant...

While I'm ranting, I just scrolled down and saw my strip party invite, not a single person came to either one, woot woot ¬_¬

And not as many people turned up for my birthday as planned, but that was still a good night, and thank you to the people who did come, I think and hope you enjoyed it too :)

    Working in Teams Sucks

People just let you (me) down all the time. (Why can't people actually care and have a passion about stuff, or just not want to let others down, or do their own work?) Same thing happened in College on projects (I'm thinking Under The Sea Animation, I never released, Only Dan-da-man came through to help in the end)

Today I spent a whole day in the University hoping to get some animation on the red riding hood project done, but did a single member of my team turn up? nope!

At least I got a 3 second odd long test done with my character, but the computers/software officially sucks at rendering video, and I don't like/don't have a DV tape desk, camcorder or anything, hence I like digital files I can easily exchange between computers fast and efficiently and edit amongst them relatively hassle free.

But, on a lighter note I also just got all the Achievements in AudioSurf :D woo! aNILEator/stats/AudioSurf

My Hot & Steamy Strip Party

    Strip Party Poster

Thought I'd spice things up a bit!

My Parents came over for the weekend and we finished my room! It may need another layer of paint next week and then the carpet is getting put down the week after :) It's lurvely!

And we've decided to do it to all the rooms now, as it's turned out sooo good in my room I may as well get the whole house done and make it nicer, and add lots more to the value and appeal :)

    HOT!

    January 09

    Got It!

So Day 2 of having my mac, Installed Windows Vista by BootCamp and It's REALLY EASY and a damn good vista laptop too :) although...it...doesn't....quite...like...my..."activation"...process :P It still boots fine, just takes an extra few seconds of Bootloader errors. But I can live with a few seconds boot up time for an activated Vista.

And can force file sharing by connecting to my LocalIP as a sever (I haven't set it up as a script yet to automatically mount the drive so that's a bit of a problem/annoying)
and forced printer by IP too, I hope that stays!

All in all I'm liking it so far, it's been on most of the last 48 hours and doing ok battery life is acceptable anyway :)

    January 08

    I own a MacBook

    Tis ok I guess :)

can't get network with windows working properly, or printer sharing, loads of other people got the same problems, Guess it's just shit with Leopard atm
